Past Experience and Accomplishments:
Thomas Farniok started at Stanford in 2019 and serves as an Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach.
Prior to Stanford, Farniok spent time as a sports performance coach at the University at Buffalo, University of Houston and Louisiana Tech University. He worked directly with the football programs at each school. While at Houston, he also directed the softball program for two years, and in his last two seasons with the Cougars, he implemented the training for running backs, tight ends and specialists.
A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Farniok also spent one season as the offensive line coach at Sioux Falls Washington High School.
A four-year standout at Iowa State, Farniok played in 49 career games for the Cyclones and started 47 at center. He was an All-Big 12 selection in each of his final three seasons, and in 2012, he helped lead the Cyclones reach the Liberty Bowl.
Farniok graduated from Iowa State with a degree in kinesiology in 2014. He is certified through the CSCS and is CPR/AED/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross.
