Biography
After being on the Farm for 9 months, the 2018 Season will be Gesser’s first year as a full-time Sports Performance Coach responsible for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field as well as Squash. Arriving to Stanford in January 2018 as a Volunteer Intern, Gesser worked with Cross Country/Track and Field, Football, Field Hockey, and Lacrosse.
Before arriving to the Farm, Gesser was a Teaching Assistant at California State University Northridge where he taught Biomechanics and Strength Training courses while earning his Master’s degree from the University and serving as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Moorpark College. Thomas earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University Stanislaus where he was also an All-American and CCAA Champion in the Hammer Throw.
Coach Gesser is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a Certified Sports Performance Coach with USA Weightlifting.
