Past Experience and Accomplishments
Nanci Conniff joined the Stanford Sports Performance staff in 2006. Conniff is the Wellness Coach responsible for providing recovery and alignment techniques for all student athletes from all teams. In 2015 Conniff left the Stanford Physical Education Department to take a more active role with Stanford Sports Performance. Conniff draws on her years of experience teaching yoga, meditation, Pilates, postural alignment and recovery methods to support the Stanford Student Athlete.
Prior to joining the Sports Performance department Conniff taught numerous courses for the Stanford Physical Education Program. During her 18 years with the PE Department, she was a twelve-time recipient of the John S. Knight Foundation’s Favorite Professor Award.
Conniff has coached athletes at all levels of sport and was a Yoga and Pilates Coach for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Swim Team. As Wellness Coach for Stanford Sports Performance she continues to coach many professional athletes from a variety of sports organizations including the NFL and NBA and the Olympics.
Before coming to the Farm, Conniff worked in the private fitness sector as founder and organizer of Cardio Classic Fitness Conference which sold in 2001. Classic Fitness Conference is still operating as California MANIA.
