Past Experience and Accomplishments:
Matt Gebert was named an Assistant Sports Performance Coach with Football in 2020. Prior to Stanford, Gebert spent three years at FIU working with Football, Softball, Volleyball and Swimming and Diving. He helped FIU get to three straight bowl games for the first time in school history.
Before Florida International University, Gebert spent two years at Purdue University where he worked with Football, Baseball and Track and Field. Prior to that he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2014 season. Gebert served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Minnesota while he completed his Master’s Degree in Applied Kinesiology.
A native of New York City, he started his career as an intern at both Rutgers and Columbia University. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science form Western Connecticut State University where he played running back on the football team.
Gebert holds his CSCS certification from the NSCA, First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Heart Association, and is RPR certified.
